Donner Lake

A charming and historical area with the lake itself as the main attraction for homeowners and visitors alike. Donner Lake runs east to west with a wonderful public lake access and beach area at the west end, private beach area for Tahoe Donner residents is located at the east end. There are several other private and public lake access points, piers, beaches and a boat launch located around the perimeter of Donner Lake. As a popular destination for vacationers there are tourist accommodations including a couple of motels and rental condos at the lake and within a block of the lake. There is a small commercial area towards the west end with a restaurant, market and other services. The different neighborhoods of Donner Lake feature a mixture of old and new, small and large homes in a range of prices. Lakefront homes at Donner Lake start at just under $1 million.
